One Trafford Partnership has now appointed two wardens to be on site at Sale Water Park seven days a week, between the hours of 8am to 5pm. This is an initial six month trial which started on 12 November 2018.
There will be a minimum of one warden in attendance at any one time, every day of the week (working 4 day shifts). Their responsibilities include the opening and cleaning of the public toilets on site. The toilets will be open 7 days a week between the hours of 8am to 5pm. As well as this, the wardens will be responsible for ensuring the life bouyes around the lake are present and in a safe and usable condition as well checking all the health and safety signage is undamaged.
The emptying of litter bins around Sale Water Park remains the responsibility of Peak Pursuits and does not form part of the wardens duties (our streetscene teams will continue to empty the litter bin by the visitor centre). However, the wardens are available to help out with community initiatives such as litter picking in a supporting role and will get involved with groups keen to improve the park.
